With Open Hands
With Open Hands
In rev’rence we gather here with one heart and mind.
This moment of boundless grace, of love so divine.
The symbol of broken bread, and the sharing of the cup
are blessings of our covenant, joined in unity and love.
In stillness and quiet hush, the table is spread.
The cup of His suffering, His body, the bread.
We take in remembrance as we breathe this sacred air,
Forgiveness born of sacrifice, shed from love beyond compare.
His life was poured out for us, His flesh bruised and torn.
This death paid the penalty, our souls are reborn.
We seek now to follow Him by obeying His commands.
This promise of God’s faithfulness, we accept with open hands.
