Justified by Faith

Lord, I repent my sin and bow my head in shame;

I am confounded by a God who loves me as I am.

I need to justify my lawlessness and pride;

But now a self within myself confesses that I lied.

The sentence I deserve I now no longer dread;

I know my Judge has died for me, and bids me raise my head.

God calls me to His side and counts me with the just;

For when I put my trust in Christ, God takes me too on trust.

Now justified by faith, I want my life to prove

There is no greater pow’r on earth than God’s redeeming love.
