Come, O Light of heaven’s dawning, Send your love to show the way.
Come, fulfill the prophet’s longing, Bring us hope for God’s new day.
Bright the star that leads us onward, Guiding hearts with holy flame;
Heaven’s promise now before us, Come, O Lord, in flesh and name.

Come, O Light in night and sorrow, Born to set the captive free. 
Born to bring God’s bright tomorrow, Christ, our peace and victory.
With the Spirit ever near us, Let our lives be shaped by You.
By thy mercy now prepare us For the day all things are new.

Come, O Christ, with fire and wonder Break the silence of the night;
Let our hearts no longer wander – Draw us near to love’s true light.
Open wide the gates before us, Make our lives your dwelling place;
Till your glory shines among us, Full of truth and filled with grace.
